Chief Credit Officer

We are looking for an innovative, dynamic individual to join our team as Chief Credit Officer. This role is responsible for overall bank credit quality and risk management, including monitoring portfolio mix and margin, classified assets, past-dues and exceptions within the policies and procedures established by the Board of Directors and Bank management. The CCO will work collaboratively across the organization and specifically with the Senior Lenders, to support the credit and sales vision and team environment. 

As a member of the Bank’s executive team, the CCO is responsible for helping develop and execute the overall Bank’s strategies, objectives, and business plans. This would include building the bank’s position within the marketplace through community involvement, multi-product banking solutions, and building and maintaining enduring relationships with customers. 

The right candidate will be responsible for providing effective leadership and direction to our team of Loan Officers while supporting the company's goals and objectives. 

Primary Responsibilities and Duties: 

  • This position is responsible for the day-to-day oversight and administration of the Bank's loan portfolio on a continuing basis in order to prevent losses and/or improve overall quality of the loan portfolio; 

  • Assure documentation is in compliance with loan policy approvals, state and/or federal regulations 

  • Assist in detection or deterioration in loan quality 

  • Review and ensure internal compliance objectives are met 

  • Provides oversight of the Bank's loan approval process. 

  • Responsible for coordinating internal and external loan review programs and collateral documentation review systems. 

  • This position also develops and monitors the company’s risk grading system, monitors critical asset levels through action plan implementation activities, and manages loan delinquencies, non-accruals, other real estate owned, and foreclosure actions. 

  • Establishes internal loan controls and written policies and procedures for Board approval, and thereby ensuring the quality of the loan portfolio. 

  • Prepares, presents and interprets reports to management, directors and regulatory agencies. 

  • Advises, counsels, trains and mentors lenders. 

  • Chairs the bank's Loan Approval Committee. 

Experience Required/Preferred: 

  • Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent combination of education and experience, Post graduate degree preferred. 

  • 10 years of Banking industry experience 

  • Lending and/or credit administration experience

Commercial/Ag Lender

POSITION SUMMARY: We are looking for an innovative, dynamic individual to join our team as Commercial/Ag Lender.  In this role you will originate, manage, and supervise a portfolio of commercial and agriculture loans, with the overall objective of maintaining and increasing its asset quality, while developing new and existing business relationships.  

PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Possesses strong new business development skills. Excellent communicator that can prospect and build business. 

  • Demonstrates strong client relationship skills and commitment to providing quality customer service. 

  • Manages an Ag and Commercial loan portfolio. 

  • Facilitates negotiation with customers, both new and existing, according to established standards, such as fees, loan repayment options, and other credit terms. Refers and/or presents loan to loan committee for approval in excess of personal loan approval authority. Ensures loan agreements are complete and accurate according to policy. Assures timely loan closing and funding activities. Maintains updated loan documentation and loan files. 

  • Seeks networking opportunities with valuable third- party associates and potential clients through community activities, professional organizations, educational workshops and seminars, charitable organizations, and economic and community development organizations. 

  • Advise borrowers on financial status and payment methods. Represents the bank in local community through active volunteering in community affairs; participates in marketing all the bank's products and services. Assist in daily branch operations including branch coverage, opening, closing and Saturday rotations. 

SECONDARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Represents Bank in industry and professional associations, community organizations, local business groups, etc., and promotes Bank's favorable image. 

  • Collects delinquent accounts in timely manner within bank procedures/processes. Develops/negotiates revised loan repayment terms/schedules as necessary. 

  • Remains knowledgeable and abreast of guaranteed government loan programs and other conventional financing mechanisms as a vehicle for customers. 

  • Compliant with bank policies and procedures and federal and state laws/regulations. 

  • Other duties may be assigned. 

 COMPETENCIES: 

  • Ability to communicate well with customers and employees, both verbal and written 

  • Problem-solving abilities 

  • Deals professionally with all internal and external customers and assists customers in a courteous, efficient and professional manner 

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS: 

  • Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university in the field of business, including specific courses in accounting, finance, and economics plus additional bank related training

  • Formal credit training 

  • 2-5 years of experience in Ag & Commercial Lending or equivalent combination of education and experience 

  • Experience in strategic planning, relationship management, new business, credit analysis and loan workouts 

  • Knowledge of lending regulations and policies 

  • Business development/sales skills

Teller Positions – Accepting Applications

A Teller I is responsible for accurately processing financial transactions and being an effective source of information for customers: in lobby, drive-thru window or by telephone. Provides friendly, professional, confidential and effective assistance to customers and company associates assuring a positive experience and minimizing wait time. May provide backup for another function. Reliability and a strong attention to detail are also a must! Cash handling and customer service experience is strongly preferred.

A Teller II is responsible for accurately processing financial transactions and being an effective source of information for customers: in lobby, drive-thru window or by telephone. Provides friendly, professional, confidential and effective assistance to customers and company associates assuring a positive experience and minimizing wait time. Is proficient in opening new accounts, vault and ATM responsibilities as well as teller functions. Preferred candidates will be rock stars at providing exceptional customer service, outstanding phone skills, with some customer facing cash handling experience.
